Navigating Rough Waters
People all across our nation are confronted with the threat of war, ICE raids, military troops in our cities, reductions in health care, rising costs due to tariffs, and so much more. Maintaining inner peace during times such as these is a challenge for the most grounded among us. This master class is specifically designed to help attendees develop skills to navigate the rough waters in which we sometimes find ourselves.

Vernelle Nelson Bio
I was ordained in 2016. I planted Unity Golden Life Ministries serving South Florida. I joined the UUMS faculty in 2018. I facilitated numerous life affirming workshops at various churches, centers and conferences, including Celebrating our Golden Life at the 2022 PADNTG conference, two Women of Wisdom conventions, and two Unity People’s Conventions. I was featured in A Sound of Unity: The Twelve Powers, a film by New Thought author and director, James Twyman. At the 2025 Unity People’s Convention, I was presented with the Ruth M. Mosley Award, for outstanding leadership
